CONCORD: Woman Hit and Killed by Car on Treat Boulevard
CONCORD, California (March 21, 2017) – A pedestrian was killed after a traffic collision on Treat Boulevard late Sunday night, according to ABC 7 News.
The accident was reported at 10:46 p.m. in the area of Treat Boulevard and Wilmore Drive.
As per the article, police said a 26-year-old Placerville woman was crossing Treat Boulevard when she was hit by a vehicle headed east at the time. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Her name has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, police affirmed that the 58-year-old Concord woman driving the car involved, a 2015 Honda, initially left the area but later contacted the authorities. She was reportedly cooperating with the police.
The victim was fatally struck between Wilmore and San Simeon drives, an area which does not have a crosswalk. Drugs and alcohol did not appear to have played a role in the incident which remains under investigation.
