CONCORD, California (August 18, 2016) — A woman was trapped in a vehicle following a collision Thursday morning on the westbound State Route Highway 4 at the Willow Pass Road off ramp, a California Highway Patrol report said.
The crash took place about 9:29 a.m. between a red Toyota Camry sedan, a silver Audi, a gray truck and a black car. Paramedics and firefighters responded to help those involved and extricated a woman who was trapped in one of the vehicles.
The extent of injuries suffered by those hurt in the crash was not disclosed. The collision was blocking the Nos. 2 and 3 lanes. One witness told authorities multiple vehicles were speeding down the right shoulder to get around the crash, just east of Bay Point.
The cause of the collision is under investigation by police.
