Child Hit in Crosswalk Suffers Injured Leg
CONCORD, Calif. (June 14, 2023) — A driver struck a child in a Concord bicycle accident Tuesday afternoon at Treat Boulevard and Cowell Road.
The traffic accident occurred around 2:15 p.m. on June 13th, according to East Bay Times.
The child was reportedly crossing the road on a bicycle in a crosswalk. That’s when a driver in a commercial vehicle made a turn from Treat Boulevard onto Cowell Road and hit the victim.
Paramedics responded and located the injured child down in the roadway. They transported the injured child to a hospital where they were treated for a lower leg injury. The report did not mention the child’s age or gender.
There are no further details at this time about the bicycle accident on Treat Boulevard.
The pedestrian accident remains under investigation.
