1 Injured in Concord Car Crash on Eastbound Highway 4 Near Highway 242
CONCORD, CA (September 16, 2021) – One was hospitalized after a car crash on Highway 4 near Highway 242 in Concord.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the wreck occurred on Thursday afternoon. Officers reported the accident at about 4:14 p.m.
CHP said two vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Concord. They crashed on the eastbound side of Highway 4, just west of Highway 242.
2 Vehicles Collide
The incident log described the cars involved as a white Lexus RX 350 and a gray colored Dodge. The Lexus RX 350 obtained rear-end damage upon impact.
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and found one person who complained of pain as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took the patient to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries. Officials did not disclose the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP forced the eastbound lanes of Highway 4 to shut down following the wreck. The cause of the Concord car crash is still under investigation.
