Major Injury Collision Near Highway 242 Tuesday
Concord, CA (January 11, 2022) – The California Highway Patrol group reported a traffic crash that occurred on State Route Highway 4 Tuesday evening.
According to the accident dispatch, two vehicles collided on the westbound lanes of SR-4. The incident took place near the connecting ramp onto Highway 242. Officials mentioned the wreck involved a 2014 gray GMC Sierra. Meanwhile, the make and model of the other automobile found at he scene have not been revealed thus far.

Medical personnel arrived at the location shortly after 11:02 p.m. Responding paramedics rendered aid to all possible victims in the collision. After the evaluation, authorities confirmed at least one person sustained major injuries as a result of the wreck. Authorities continue to withhold personal information on the victim pending confirmation.
Several factors surrounding the incident remained unclear. At this time, detectives continue to investigate exactly how and why the car crash on State Route 4 in Concord happened.
