Motorcyclist Killed in Concord Crash on Ygnacio Valley Road
CONCORD, CA (April 24, 2022) – A crash killed a motorcyclist on Ygnacio Valley Road in the city of Concord.
According to the East Bay Times and KRON 4 News, the tragic accident took place early Sunday. Officers reported the wreck at about 1:22 a.m.
The California Highway Patrol said a 32-year-old man riding a motorcycle and another vehicle collided for an unknown reason in Concord. The two crashed on Ygnacio Valley Road.
Motorcycle and Vehicle Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics then arrived at the site, between Crystyl Ranch Drive and Cowell Road. They found the rider down on the ground as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel soon pronounced the victim dead at the scene. His name has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the teenage driver of the vehicle ended up unharmed and cooperated with them. Officers forced a stretch of Ygnacio Valley Road to shut down for a time following the wreck.
The cause of the fatal Concord crash is still under investigation. Anyone with information can call the CHP at 925-603-5963.
