Woman Killed in Concord Hit-and-Run at Marsh Drive and Solano Way

CONCORD, CA (September 5, 2020) – A pedestrian was killed after an alleged hit-and-run crash in the area of Marsh Drive and Solano Way early Saturday.

According to the California Highway Patrol, officers received a call about the tragic accident at around 1:16 a.m. It happened near Highway 4.

Their report log indicated that a vehicle struck a female pedestrian for an unknown reason at the intersection of Marsh Drive and Solano Way.

Pedestrian Hit by Vehicle in Concord Saturday

Fire department officials along with the paramedics responded to the scene and confirmed that the woman died as a result of the crash.

The name of the deceased individual has not been yet released pending notification of family. Meanwhile, the driver involved failed stop to render aid to the victim and fled the area.

Authorities are still gathering more information and evidence to locate the motorist. The cause of the fatal incident remains under investigation.
