
1 Seriously Injured in Crash on Highway 242 Near Concord Avenue
CONCORD, CA (February 19, 2023) – A motorcycle crash left one person seriously injured on Highway 242 in Concord.
The California Highway Patrol first logged the accident on Friday evening. Officers reported the wreck on February 17 at around 5:38 p.m.
The incident happened when the motorcyclist and two cars collided for an unknown reason. The three crashed on northbound Highway 242 near the Concord Avenue on-ramp.
Motorcycle and Cars Collide
CHP described the vehicles involved as a black Mercedes ML 350, a white Honda Civic and a yellow sports bike. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene.
They found one individual who sustained major injuries as a result of the collision. Medical personnel then rushed the patient to a hospital for treatment.
The name of the wounded party and their condition at this time were not disclosed. Meanwhile, CHP forced the northbound lanes of Highway 242 to shut down following the wreck.
The cause of the Concord crash is still under investigation.
