Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in Concord Crash on Eastbound Highway 4
CONCORD, CA (May 19, 2021) – A motorcyclist was seriously injured after a crash on Highway 4 in Concord.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the accident occurred on Wednesday evening. Officers reported the wreck shortly after 6 p.m.
CHP said a black 2011 Nissan Altima and the rider of a Harley Davidson motorcycle collided for an unknown reason in Concord. The two crashed on the eastbound side of Highway 4.
Motorcycle vs Car Collision Near Port Chicago Highway
Firefighters along with the soon paramedics responded to the scene, just west of Port Chicago Highway. They found the motorcyclist down on the ground as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took the patient to the Kaiser Permanente Hospital for treatment of major injuries. Officials did not release the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP did not mention if the driver of the car sustained any wound or if they stopped after the incident. Officers forced a portion of eastbound Highway 4 to shut down following the wreck.
Authorities are still investigating the cause of the Concord crash.
