Woman, 83, Seriously Injured in Concord Accident at Clayton and Wharton
CONCORD (September 17, 2018) – An elderly pedestrian was seriously injured after a traffic accident in the area of Clayton Road and Wharton Way on Friday afternoon, according to The Mercury News.
The collision took place on September 14 at around 4:30 p.m.
As per the article, police said an 83-year-old woman was on Clayton Road at Wharton Way when she was struck by a vehicle.

The male driver of the car involved was attempting to pull out onto Clayton Road while exiting a driveway when he hit the elderly pedestrian who was on the sidewalk at the time.
Paramedics responded to the scene and attended to the victim who suffered major injuries upon impact. She was immediately taken to a hospital where she was listed in stable condition.
The name of the patient was not released. Meanwhile, police affirmed that the motorist stopped after hitting the woman and cooperated with the authorities. The incident is still under investigation.
