Semi-Truck, Car Crash on Highway 4 in Contra Costa County
CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, Calif. (Dec. 2, 2022) — A big rig truck and car were involved in a crash Friday morning on State Route Highway 4, just east of Franklin Canyon Road in Contra Costa County.
The collision occurred about 8:43 a.m. on Dec. 2nd, according to a California Highway Patrol dispatch.
The truck reportedly collided with a driver in a 2015 Chrysler or Toyota and both vehicles pulled over. The two-vehicle crash occurred in the Nos. 2 and 3 lanes of the highway. Police issued a SigAlert due to the crash.
Paramedics responded to help those hurt in the crash, but there are no further details.
Meanwhile, tow trucks removed at least one of the damaged vehicles from the freeway.
Investigators are working on the case to determine fault.
