4-Vehicle Collision on Highway 4 in Contra Costa County
CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, Calif. (May 18, 2021) — A multi-vehicle Contra Costa County crash happened Tuesday on Highway 4 near McEwen Road.
The drivers involved include a silver Toyota Prius, a blue Toyota Prius, a brown van and a white Nissan, the California Highway Patrol said.
The vehicles wound up in the middle lanes and a nearby ditch. The report mentions one person was possibly trapped in a vehicle and bystanders were attempting to get them out of the wreckage.

Meanwhile, paramedics responded to help anyone hurt in the collision, but there were no specific details. In fact, it’s unknown how many people were injured in the collision. Meanwhile, tow trucks removed two of the damaged vehicles from the Contra Costa County crash scene on Highway 4.
Finally, it’s unknown what led up to the collision, however, investigators are piecing together evidence and will determine fault.
