Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in Contra Costa County Crash at Pinehurst and Canyon
CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA (September 10, 2021) – A crash seriously injured a motorcyclist at Pinehurst Road and Canyon Road in Contra Costa County.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the accident occurred on Friday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck at about 3:48 p.m.
CHP said the rider of a blue Suzuki motorcycle and a vehicle collided for an unknown reason in Contra Costa County. The two crashed at the intersection of Pinehurst and Canyon roads.
Collision Near Moraga and Canyon Areas
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near the Moraga and Canyon areas. They found the motorcyclist who sustained major injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took the patient to a hospital for treatment. Officials did not release the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP closed the southbound lanes of Pinehurst Road near Canyon Road following the wreck. The cause of the Contra Costa County crash is still under investigation.
