Motorcyclist Injured in Crash on Highway 4 Thursday
CONTRA COSTA, Ca (October 17, 2019) – An alleged hit-and-run collision occurred in the area of Highway 4 Thursday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol group.
The crash took place at approximately 4:59 p.m.
Initial records indicated a green Toyota truck was seen splitting lanes on SR-4 near Port Chicago Highway. That Toyota then struck a man riding a motorcycle in the eastbound side of the freeway. Officials said the impact caused the motorcyclist to veer into the path, and crash into a gray Honda sedan.
Per CHP log, the rider suffered injuries as a result of the collision. However, the name of the victim, and their condition at this time remained undisclosed.

Authorities affirmed one person involved in the mishap left the scene before police arrived. Detectives continue to investigate the case as a hit-and-run.
