1 Injured After Auto vs. Bicycle Crash on SR-4 Tuesday
Contra Costa, CA (November 3, 2020) – The California Highway Patrol reported a suspected hit-and-run collision that occurred on State Route 4, also known as California Delta Highway, Tuesday afternoon.
At approximately 4:50 p.m., CHP logged an accident involving a bicycle rider and two other vehicles. Officials mentioned one of the cars appeared to be a black Tesla, while the make and model of the other automobile remained undisclosed.
Emergency teams responded to the crash site and found the bicyclist lying down on the roadway. Paramedics rendered aid to the victim with unspecified injuries. According to the CHP dispatch, an ambulance transported the patient to Kaiser Permanente Hospital for further treatment.
Meanwhile, the conditions of other people involved in the collision remained undisclosed.

Investigators later mentioned at least one person fled the scene following the incident. Detectives assigned to handle the case continue to determine the name of the hit-and-run suspect and their location at this time.
