CROCKETT, Contra Costa (October 18, 2016) – According to a California Highway Patrol dispatch, at least one person was killed as a result of a traffic collision at Wanda and Pomona streets Tuesday afternoon.
As per the report logged at 3:50 p.m., a motorcycle with two riders fell under the Pomona onramp to Interstate 80 freeway. The fall resulted in fatal injuries to one person whose name was not released at this time. Later, an article by East Bay Times identified the deceased as a 64-year-old Alameda man riding a Harley Davidson Superglide.
The CHP team mentioned a white Toyota pickup truck stopped near the area after the incident but its role in the crash was not clear.
Further, the log reported a white male adult was spotted at the area. The man was seen pushing the motorcycle down the ramp for unknown reasons.
Several factors surrounding the deadly accident remain unclear, thus, investigation is ongoing.
