COOL, EL DORADO COUNTY (August 10, 2016)- According to the California Highway Patrol, Leo Bisordi, 74, of Georgetown, has been identified as the man killed in a 2-car crash Tuesday afternoon.
The incident was logged at 3:13 p.m. between a 65-year-old man driving a Subaru Forester and a Ford F-150.
The collision was triggered by the Subaru driver who had been traveling eastbound before swerving into westbound lanes and colliding with the pickup truck driven by Leo Bisordi.
Bisordi’s vehicle quickly left the road following the crash and went down an embankment before coming to rest.
Per the report, Bisordi sadly did not survive the collision and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The Subaru driver who has not been identified was airlifted to Sutter Roseville Med Center with major injuries including a broken leg.
California Highway Patrol officials continue their investigation as it remains unclear if drugs or alcohol played a contributing factor in the incident.
