Orcutt, CA (July 6, 2021) – On July 4, Sunday, Cooper Wood suffered injuries following a pedestrian accident that occurred of Bradley Road.

The Lompoc Record News reported 19-year-old Cooper Wood stepped into traffic near the 4100 block of South Bradley Road. Subsequently, a passing motorist failed to avoid and struck the pedestrian. Officials said the right front end of the 1995 Ford F-150 collided with Cooper Wood.

Per article published online, the crash took place near Parkland Drive.

Pedestrian Airlifted to Hospital After Orcutt Accident, July 4

Emergency teams arrived at the location shortly after 9:30 p.m. Responding paramedics rendered aid to the pedestrian found lying on the road. Authorities confirmed Cooper Wood sustained serious injuries; including head trauma and upper body lacerations. Due to their condition, a helicopter responded to the incident and transported the patient to Cottage Hospital in Santa Barbara.

Meanwhile, the driver of the Ford, 19-year-old Nathan Fish, appeared unharmed after the incident.

Detectives continue to work at this time to determine several factors surrounding the car and pedestrian accident in Orcutt.
