Corcoran Car, Big Rig Truck Accident Highway 43 and Avenue 136 (Sept. 13)4-Vehicle Crash on Highway 43 in Kings County

KINGS COUNTY, Calif. (Sept. 13, 2018) — A car collided with a big rig truck before it was struck again by two other vehicles early Thursday on Highway 43 at Avenue 136, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The crash was reported to the CHP about 3:53 a.m. by the mother of the man who was in the small Honda involving in the truck crash. It’s unknown what led to the initial crash with the semi-tractor trailer truck, but that remains under investigation.

It appears that the other two vehicles crashed into the vehicle after it became disabled in the first crash.

Paramedics responded and at least one person was airlifted to a hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

Concoran Crash Investigation

A full investigation into what caused this collision is underway. Police will piece together evidence and speak with witnesses to determine fault.

We extend our heartfelt prayers to those who suffered injuries in this crash.

There are many steps that should be taken following a collision involving injuries such as this one. A police report will be necessary to file an insurance claim against the at-fault driver who caused the collision. However, it’s important to note that many insurance companies will fight these claims or offer far less than a person is owed.
