2 Drivers Killed in Crash at Riverside Intersection
RIVERSIDE, Calif. (Sept. 14, 2018) — Two people died in a car accident Thursday night at the intersection of La Sierra and Cypress avenues, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
Corey Rees, 27, died at Riverside Community Hospital at 3:55 a.m. Friday and Mirian Malaka Saad Ibrahem, 21, died at the scene, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Coroner said.
The two vehicles involved ended up in the front yard of a residence at the intersection.
One of the vehicles had been heading eastbound on Cypress and the other southbound on La Sierra prior to colliding about 11:30 p.m. last night. The two drivers were alone in their vehicles when they died.

It’s unknown at this time who is responsible for this horrible collision. Police are going over the evidence and any witness statements to determine fault.
