Corina Bernal, 61, Killed in Bakersfield Hit-and-Run at Ming and Stine
BAKERSFIELD, CA (September 13, 2021) – Corina Bernal was killed after a hit-and-run crash at Ming Avenue and Stine Road in Bakersfield.
The coroner’s office identified the 61-year-old Bakersfield woman as the victim of the fatal collision which occurred last week on Tuesday.
The incident happened on September 7 when a vehicle struck Corina Bernal in the city of Bakersfield. The driver hit her at intersection of Stine Road and Ming Avenue.
Pedestrian Hit by Car
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene and soon found the pedestrian down on the ground. The motorist did not stop to help her and then fled eastbound on Ming Avenue.
The Bakersfield Now and Kern Golden Empire wrote that the accident took place shortly after 10:30 p.m. Corina Bernal sustained major injuries as a result of the Bakersfield.
Medical personnel rushed her to a local hospital, where she died. Meanwhile, police described the suspect car as a red or orange 2020 Toyota C-HR SUV.
