Major Injury Crash in Corning Wednesday Morning
CORNING (August 16, 2017)- According to the California Highway Patrol, a major injury collision was reported Wednesday morning at the intersection of South Avenue and Hall Road.
A total of two vehicles were involved in the crash which occurred at roughly 7:31 a.m.

Upon their arrival, CHP officials described a black Honda Civic and possibly a blue Ford Explorer both with significant damage incurred to the vehicles.
Tehama County Fire Department personnel were dispatched to the scene as their assistance as needed to free and extricate several victims in at least one of the vehicles who were trapped inside with serious injuries.
At least one person was transported in serious condition to Enloe Medical Center possibly by the name of Maria Del Carmen Cervanates Cuevas, per the California Highway Patrol.
No details have been released at this time regarding the cause of the collision and what exactly transpired as the investigation is ongoing.
