Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in Corning Crash at South Avenue and Marguerite Avenue

CORNING, CA (July 29, 2021) – A motorcyclist was seriously injured after a crash at South Avenue and Marguerite Avenue in Corning.

The California Highway Patrol dispatch team said the accident occurred late Thursday night. Officers reported the wreck at about 11:18 p.m.

The incident began when for an unknown reason a sedan slammed into another car in Corning. After a some time, the rider of a Kawasaki street bike collided with the back of a truck in the area.

Multiple Vehicles Collide

They crashed at the intersection of South Avenue and Marguerite Avenue. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene.

They found motorcyclist who sustained major injuries as a result of the collision. An air ambulance then took the wounded party to a hospital for treatment.

Officials did not disclose the name of the patient and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, CHP did not mention if the other drivers involved ended up hurt or if they stayed at the site following the wreck.

Officers forced the area of South Avenue and Marguerite Avenue to shut down after the collision. The cause of the Corning crash is still under investigation.
