Woman, 41, Injured in Corning Pedestrian Accident
CORNING, Calif. (July 11, 2022) — A Corning pedestrian accident on Highway 99 West happened Saturday night, leaving a woman with serious injuries.
The collision occurred about 10 p.m. on July 9th, according to Action News Now and the Corning Police Department.
A driver in a black Kia Forte was reportedly traveling southbound on Highway 99 West when a woman pushing a shopping cart reportedly walked into a traffic lane. The 23-year-old man driving the Kia struck the woman. Upon impact, she was thrown into the air before landing on the windshield.
Paramedics responded to the scene and located the injured woman. They transported her to a hospital for treatment of major injuries. Apparently, the woman suffered various injuries including a spinal injury.
Finally, investigators are working on the case and will determine fault for the crash.
