CORONA, California (Oct. 5, 2014) — Two men were killed early Saturday morning in a rollover collision on the southbound Interstate 15 Freeway, just north of Indian Truck Trail, according to a report by the Riverside County Sheriff Coroner.
The two passengers in the 2007 Nissan Maxima were killed in the single-vehicle collision reported about 2:40 a.m., according to the coroner and a CBS News report. The crash took place when the driver of the vehicle veered onto the dirt shoulder of the roadway and the car overturned.
The victims were identified by the coroner as Gregory Purcell Johns Jr., 24, and Elmarcenia Johns, 28, both of Murrieta. The report indicated that neither of the victims were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash.
“This is a tragedy for the families of these two men as they cope with their sudden loss,” said Attorney James Johnson.
