SAN BERNARDINO, California (February 10, 2016) — A semi-tractor trailer truck and up to ten other vehicles collided Wednesday morning in an injury crash on the southbound Interstate 15 Freeway at the Interstate 215 Freeway connection, a California Highway Patrol report said.
The collision was reported to CHP officers at 5:02 a.m. this morning. All southbound traffic lanes were stopped and police initially reported a possible DUI was involved. The drivers of a silver Kia Optima and a black Ford Expedition both required towing from the scene of the collision as well as five other vehicles involved.
Paramedics responded to help several people who were injured in the crash, but there were no further details provided. A full investigation by police is underway to determine liability.
