1 Killed in Corona Crash Near Temescal Canyon and Leroy Roads
CORONA, CA (January 27, 2023) – A car crash killed at least one person near Temescal Canyon Road and Leroy Road in Corona.
According to an article published by the NBC Palm Springs, the accident took place on Friday morning. Officers reported the wreck at about 4:45 a.m.
The incident happened on January 27 when two sedans collided south of Corona in Riverside County. The cars crashed near the intersection of Temescal Canyon and Leroy roads.
2 Cars Collide
The California Highway Patrol said one male driver ended up trapped inside his vehicle as a result of the collision. Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and then freed the occupant from the wreckage.
Medical personnel soon pronounced the motorist dead at the scene. The name of the deceased party has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, CHP forced Temescal Canyon Road to shut down near Leroy for four hours following the wreck. The cause of the fatal Corona crash is still under investigation.
