Motorist Killed in Collision at Foothill Parkway and Rimpau Avenue
Corona, CA (March 29, 2023) – One person died following a car accident that occurred in the area of Foothill Parkway and Rimpau Avenue, the NBC News reported.
Officials said a pickup truck was traveling in the streets of Corona Tuesday night, March 28. When the Ford F-150 approached the intersection of Foothill and Rimpau, the driver allegedly ran a red light and broadsided a Tesla going through the crossing. The force from the impact resulted in significant damage to the Tesla car.
Shortly after 10:15 p.m., emergency crews arrived at the location. First responders found the Tesla driver unconscious. Despite life-saving efforts performed by paramedics, the victim sadly succumbed to his injuries and passed away. Authorities only identified the deceased as a 43-year-old male from Corona.

Officials added a passenger in the Tesla, a 45-year-old male, escaped death with only minor injuries. An ambulance transported the injured party to a regional trauma center for treatment and further evaluation.
At this time, detectives continue to work to determine whether alcohol or drugs played a role in the catastrophic incident. Further investigation is ongoing on the deadly crash that happened at Foothill Parkway and Rimpau Avenue.
