1 Injured in Corona Hit-and-Run Crash on Westbound 91 Freeway Near Serfas Club
CORONA, CA (September 2, 2021) – At least one was injured after a hit-and-run crash on the 91 Freeway in Corona.
The California Highway Patrol first logged the incident on Wednesday afternoon. Officers reported the accident on September 1 at about 1:21 p.m.
According to their dispatch, two vehicles collided for an unknown reason in the city of Corona. They crashed on the westbound 91 Freeway, just west of Serfas Club Drive.
The report described the cars as a gray Chevrolet Equinox and a black Toyota Camry. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and found the Chevrolet with front-end damage.
2 Cars Collide
An occupant of the Chevrolet complained of pain as a result of the collision. Medical personnel then provided aid to the victim for the unspecified injuries they sustained in the wreck.
Officials did not disclose the name of the wounded patient and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the driver of the Toyota did not stop to help the other party.
The suspect continued and fled westbound on the 91 Freeway. Officers added that the Camry obtained major rear-end damage following the collision.
The cause of the Corona hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
