CORONA, California (November 17, 2015) — A pickup truck and four other motorists collided Tuesday morning in a crash in the Nos. 1 and 2 lanes of the northbound Interstate 15 Freeway at Weirick Road, a California Highway Patrol report said.
The crash was reported about 9:47 a.m. involving a gray pickup truck, a white vehicle, a black vehicle and two others. At least two tow trucks responded to remove damaged vehicles at the scene. Police issued a SigAlert about 9:53 a.m. and they are investigating the cause of the crash.

There were eight people killed and 386 people injured in Corona traffic accidents in 2013, according to statistics compiled by the CHP’s Statewide Integrated Traffic Report. Additionally, there were a total of 208 people who died in crashes throughout Riverside County the same year as well as 7,329 who were injured.
