CORONA: Multi-Vehicle Traffic Accident on Highway 91

CORONA, California (Tuesday, October 27, 2015) – A three-vehicle traffic collision – involving a white BMW, silver Mazda 3, and gold Honda – on westbound State Route Highway 91, west of Green River Road sparked a chain of additional traffic collisions. A sedan spun out, striking the center divider and then a tractor trailer truck. Another vehicle, a black sedan spun out, facing the wrong way in the right lane. A silver Mercedes sedan and silver Toyota Camry collided as well.

Eight vehicles were involved in total. All lanes were blocked.

An ambulance was sent to the scene. An unknown number of individuals were injured.

According to an incident report by the California Highway Patrol, San Bernardino, the first accident occurred this evening at about 6:31 p.m. The subsequent accidents took place at 7:18, 7:26, and 7:30 p.m. The cause of the initial accident is unclear. Police are investigating, attempting to find the liable party, if any.
