CORONA, California (March 10, 2017) – A suspected hit-and-run accident left a pedestrian injured in the area of De Palma Road and Indian Truck Trail on Friday evening, according to California Highway Patrol dispatch team. (map)
CHP said a pedestrian was struck by an unknown vehicle behind Vons grocery store shortly after 6 p.m.
As per the report log, fire department officials along with the paramedics responded and attended to the victim who sustained injuries to the head and leg. It was not immediately known if the patient was treated at the scene or was taken to the hospital for further aid.
Meanwhile, the driver involved did not stop to render assistance and took off. Authorities are gathering more information and evidence to locate he hit-and-run motorist.
