At roughly 8:13 p.m., Guzman was struck by a passing vehicle on Byron Street near Magnolia Avenue in the Home Gardens neighborhood community vicinity.
The 55-year-old woman was rushed to Corona Regional Med Center, where she sadly did not survive and died of her injuries.
California Highway Patrol officials are in charge of the investigation and have yet to release any details about specifics regarding the incident.
