CORONA, California (January 5, 2015) – A pregnant woman was injured early Monday morning in a collision between her SUV and a big rig truck on Cajalco Road and Silverton Court near Lake Matthews, according to a dispatch by the California Highway Patrol.
About 5:48 a.m., CHP officers and Corona police responded to the crash between the woman’s black Chevrolet Silverado and a white semi-tractor trailer truck at the intersection.
The Corona Fire Department sent paramedics to the scene of the crash, but there were no further details about those who were injured.
Police closed down Cajalco Road in both directions as the big rig truck had dumped a load of dirt into the roadway and it was blocked. Two flatbed tow trucks were also sent to the scene to remove the disabled vehicles.
“Hopefully anyone who is hurt gets the care necessary for a full recovery,” said Attorney James Johnson.
