1 Seriously Injured in Cottonwood Crash at Bowman and Hooker Creek Roads
COTTONWOOD, CA (August 26, 2021) – At least one was seriously injured after a car crash at Bowman Road and Hooker Creek Road in Cottonwood.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the accident took place on Thursday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck at about 3:23 p.m.
CHP said two vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Cottonwood. They crashed at the intersection of Bowman Road and Hooker Creek Road.
2 Cars Collide
The incident log described the cars involved as a blue Volkswagen Beetle and a tan Honda CR-V. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near the Evergreen Middle School.
Medical personnel found one person who sustained major injuries as a result of the collision. They then rushed the wounded party to a hospital for treatment.
Officials did not release the name of the patient and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, CHP forced the area of Bowman and Hooker Creek roads to shut down for three hours following the wreck.
The cause of the Cottonwood crash is still under investigation.
