Man Hit and Killed by Truck Near Main Street
Cottonwood, CA (October 30, 2022) – A deadly pedestrian accident occurred Sunday on the Interstate 5 Freeway, the KRCRTV News reported.
Officials said they received reports of a male party seen walking on the freeway in Cottonwood. According to the article published online, a 28-year-old driver spotted the pedestrian and swerved to avoid collision. However, the car still hit the man in the area just north of Main Street.
Fatal Pedestrian Accident on Interstate 5 in Cottonwood
Shortly after 11:02 p.m., rescue teams arrived at the site. Responding paramedics found the pedestrian lifeless. Pending confirmation and notification of next of kin, the identity of the deceased remained undisclosed.
The driver involved in the unfortunate event stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigation process. At this time, detectives continue to work to determine liability in the deadly pedestrian accident that happened on Interstate 5 in Cottonwood.
