Man, 74, Fatally Struck by Vehicle on Interstate 5 Tuesday
Cottonwood, CA (April 7, 2021) – A pedestrian died following a traffic accident on Interstate 5 Tuesday night, the Red Bluff Daily News reported.
Officials said the male party was walking in the southbound side of I-5 Freeway in Cottonwood. In the area just north of Sunset Hills Drive, a heading south on the interstate struck the pedestrian. Per news article published online, the vehicle involved in the catastrophic incident was a 2021 Honda Civic.
The horrible crash took place at approximately 11:40 p.m.

When medical personnel arrived at the site, they found the pedestrian unconscious. Paramedics performed life-saving measures to the victim but he sadly succumbed to her injuries and died at the scene. Authorities briefly identified the deceased as a 74-year-old man from Cottonwood.
Meanwhile, the California Highway Patrol group mentioned the driver of the Civic, 40-year-old Adrienne Randall, stayed in the area. The driver cooperated with the investigation process.
Detectives assigned to handle the case continue to work at this time to determine several factors surrounding the deadly pedestrian accident in Cottonwood.
