Major Injury Collision on Benson Road
Cottonwood, CA (May 14, 2023) – A pedestrian suffered injuries following a traffic accident that occurred on Benson Road Saturday, May 13.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch, a vehicle struck a man walking near the 17900 block of Benson Road in Cottonwood. Earlier reports indicated the side mirror of the car hit the man wearing a backpack from behind. Due to the force from the impact, the pedestrian possibly fell to the ground.
Pedestrian Badly Hurt in Cottonwood Crash
Medical personnel responded to the crash site shortly after 11:56 p.m. Paramedics checked the condition of the pedestrian, and later determined the victim sustained major injuries. The name and age of the injured party remained undisclosed pending confirmation.
Meanwhile, no immediate information was available on the driver involved in the collision.
Investigators handling the case continue to work at this time to determine exactly how and why the traffic accident happened on Benson Road in Cottonwood.
