Fatal Bicycle Accident in Cottonwood
COTTONWOOD, Calif. (June 25, 2024) — A 19-year-old Redding woman died in a bicycle accident last Wednesday morning on Deshutes Road in Cottonwood.
The traffic collision occurred at 9:45 a.m. on June 19th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The woman riding a bicycle was crossing Deshutes Road in a westbound direction when she was struck by a southbound tractor trailer truck.
CHP officials are investigating the crash, but it’s unknown if alcohol and/or drugs were a factor.
