Counsman crash Riego Natomas
1 Injured in Counsman Hit-and-Run Crash at Riego and Natomas Roads
SUTTER COUNTY, CA (October 24, 2021) – One was hospitalized after a hit-and-run crash at Riego Road and Natomas Road in Counsman.
The California Highway Patrol said the wreck took place on Sunday evening. According to their dispatch, officers reported the accident shortly after 7 p.m.
A black Mazda and another vehicle collided in the Counsman community of Sutter County. The two crashed for an unknown reason at the intersection of Riego and Natomas roads.
2 Vehicles Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near Elverta and Pleasant Grove. They found an occupant of the Mazda who complained of pain to their stomach as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel took the victim to the Kaiser Permanente Roseville Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries. The report did not disclose the name of the patient and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the other driver did not stop to help and then fled the area. Officers forced the intersection of Riego and Natomas roads to shut down following the wreck.
The cause of the Counsman hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
