Pedestrian Killed in Covelo Hit-and-Run at Henderson and Crawford Roads
COVELO, CA (September 5, 2021) – A pedestrian was killed after a hit-and-run crash at Henderson Road and Crawford Road in Covelo.
According to an article published by the KYMKEMP, the tragic accident took place early Saturday. Officers reported the collision at about 1:40 a.m.
The incident happened on September 4 when a vehicle struck a male pedestrian for an unknown reason in Covelo. The driver hit him at the intersection of Henderson Road and Crawford Road.
Victim Hit by Vehicle
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene. The California Highway Patrol said they found the victim left lying on the ground as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel confirmed that the person later died. The name of the deceased party remains unreleased pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the motorist did not stop to render aid to the victim and then fled the area. The cause of the fatal Covelo hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
Officers forced the intersection of Henderson and Crawford roads to shut down for a time following the accident.
