Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in Covelo Crash at Henderson Lane and Foothill Boulevard
COVELO, CA (May 11, 2021) – A motorcyclist was seriously injured after a crash at Henderson Lane and Foothill Boulevard in Covelo.
The California Highway Patrol dispatch team said the accident occurred on Tuesday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck at about 12:51 p.m.
According to CHP, a vehicle and the motorcycle rider collided for an unknown reason. The two crashed at the intersection of Henderson Lane and Foothill Boulevard in Covelo.
Collision Near Elementary School and High School
Firefighters along with the paramedics responded to the scene near the Round Valley Elementary School and High School. They found the motorcyclist who ended up hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then rushed the patient to a hospital for treatment of major injuries. Officials did not release the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP did not mention if the other driver sustained any wound or if they stopped after the incident. Officers forced the intersection to close following the wreck.
Authorities are still investigating the cause of the Covelo crash.
