COVINA, California (April 17, 2015) —  At least one person was injured Friday afternoon in a 3-vehicle crash where one car overturned on the westbound Interstate 10 Freeway at East Via Verde Street, near the Forest Law Memorial Park, according to a dispatch by the California Highway Patrol.

About 1:07 p.m., CHP officers say the driver of an Chevrolet Suburban SUV and a Toyota pickup truck collided and the pickup overturned in the No. 1 lane. A white Toyota Prius was also involved and pulled over to the right shoulder after the crash.

The Los Angeles County Fire Department sent paramedics to assist those who were hurt including those who were trapped in the pickup truck.

Police are heading up an investigation into the crash to determine liability.

“Hopefully no one is seriously injured in this crash,” said Attorney James Johnson. “Hopefully they are able to get the care they need for a full recovery.
