
La Mesa Man, 62, Riding Motorcycle Killed in Car Accident
ESCONDIDO, Calif. (Dec. 21, 2023) — Craig Arthur Jameson, 62, of La Mesa, died last week in a motorcycle accident on Highland Valley Road in Escondido.
The two-vehicle collision occurred at around 10:44 a.m. on Dec. 16th, according to the San Diego Medical Examiner.
The La Mesa man was riding his motorcycle eastbound on Highland Valley Road and going over a crest on a hill when a driver in another vehicle exited a driveway. The two vehicles collided and the motorcyclist went down in the roadway.
Paramedics responded and rushed the injured man to Palomar Medical Center’s emergency room where he died shortly after his arrival at 11:36 a.m. due to blunt force trauma, according to the San Diego Medical Examiner.
He was later identified by the coroner as Craig Arthur Jameson of La Mesa.
The case remains under investigation to determine liability.
