Two People Injured in Crash on 605 Freeway in West Whittier
WEST WHITTIER, Calif. (April 19, 2021) — A major-injury crash on the Interstate 605 Freeway happened early Monday in the unincorporated West Whittier-Los Nietos area.
Two people were transported to hospitals after the 12:11 a.m. crash on Monday, April 19th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The CHP reports the crash happened on the southbound San Gabriel River Freeway at Slauson Street.
Furthermore, the person wound up badly injured and lying in the No. 2 lane of the freeway. They were thrown from the vehicle during the crash. Meanwhile, a man involved in the collision fled the crash scene. Police did not mention if that person was located and or arrested.

Additionally, paramedics transported two people to trauma centers for life-saving medical treatment, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department Dispatch.
Meanwhile, investigators are seeking to determine liability for the crash on the Interstate 605 Freeway
