Bicycle Rider Seriously Injured in Crescent City Crash on Washington Boulevard
CRESCENT CITY, CA (July 14, 2021) – A bicycle rider was seriously injured after a crash on Washington Boulevard in Crescent City.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the accident took place late Wednesday night. Officers reported the collision at about 10:09 p.m.
CHP said a vehicle struck the bicycle rider for an unknown reason in Crescent City. The two collided at 1385 West Washington Boulevard near Inyo Street.
Bicyclist Hit by Vehicle
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near the Seawood Village apartment. They found the cyclist who sustained major injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took the wounded party to a hospital for treatment. Officials did not disclose the name of the patient and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP forced a portion of Washington Boulevard to shut down following the bicycle collision. The cause of the Crescent City crash is still under investigation.
