Driver Hits Bicycle Rider on East Washington Boulevard
CRESCENT CITY, Calif. (March 30, 2022) — A driver struck a bicyclist Wednesday morning on East Washington Boulevard in front of Sutter Health.
The collision happened about 6:59 a.m. on March 30th in the 700-798 block of Washington Boulevard, according to the California Highway Patrol.
It’s unknown what led up to the collision between a vehicle and a bicycle rider. However, there are marked bicycle lanes and one lane for traffic in both directions. There is also a middle turn lane between the two traffic lanes.
The motorist stopped and is cooperating with police at the scene. Meanwhile, paramedics responded to help the injured rider, but there are no further details about the person’s condition or if they were taken to a hospital.
Police are investigating what led up to the crash and will determine fault.
