1 Injured in Crescent City Crash Highway 101 Near Elk Valley
CRESCENT CITY, CA (March 12, 2023) – A crash left one person injured on Highway 101 and Elk Valley Cross Road in Crescent City.
A California Highway Patrol dispatch said the accident took place late last month. Officers reported the wreck on February 23 at about 2:08 p.m.
The incident happened when two cars collided for an unknown reason in Crescent City. The two vehicles crashed on Highway 101 near Elk Valley Cross Road.
2 Cars Collide
CHP described the cars involved as a red sedan and a blue truck. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near Highway 199.
They found at least one person who ended up hurt as a result of the collision. Medical personnel then provided treatment to the patient for the minor injuries they sustained in the incident.
The report did not release the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, officers forced a stretch of Highway 101 to shut down near Elk Valley Cross following the wreck.
The cause of the Crescent City crash is still under investigation.
