1 Seriously Injured in Crescent City Crash on Highway 197 Near County Park
CRESCENT CITY, CA (March 17, 2021) – At least one was seriously injured after a car crash along Highway 197 in Crescent City.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the accident occurred on Wednesday. Officers reported the wreck shortly after 5:30 p.m.
Their report log said two vehicles collided for an unknown reason. They crashed at 4913 Highway 197, known as North Bank Road, in Crescent City.

CHP described the cars involved as a tan colored Acura and a white pickup truck. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon responded to the scene near the Ruby van Deventer County Park.
They found one person suffering from major injuries as a result of the collision. Medical personnel then took the wounded party to the hospital for treatment.
Officials did not release the name of the patient and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, officers forced Highway 197 to briefly shut down following the wreck.
Authorities are still determining the cause of the Crescent City crash.
