Pedestrian Injured in Crestline Hit-and-Run at Crest Forest and Mojave River
CRESTLINE, CA (March 5, 2022) – A pedestrian was hospitalized after a hit-and-run crash at Crest Forest Drive and Mojave River Road in Crestline.
The California Highway Patrol said the accident took place on Friday afternoon. Officers reported that the collision occurred on March 4 at about 1 p.m.
The incident happened when a vehicle struck the pedestrian in Crestline for an unknown reason. The driver hit the person at the intersection of Crest Forest Drive and Mojave River Road.
Driver Hits Victim, Flees Scene
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene. They found the victim who ended up hurt as a result of the collision.
The patient ended up taken to a hospital for the unspecified injuries they sustained in the incident. The report did not disclose the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the motorist did not stop to help the victim and fled the area. Officers forced the corner of Crest Forest and Mojave River to shut down following the accident.
The cause of the Crestline hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
